Latrine Project
Forty percent of the world's population does not have a toilet.
4,500 children die each day from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation facilities.
90% of deaths occur in children under the age of five.

Over 45 latrines have been built in Honduras since 2007 withs the support of the United Church of Christ and Unitarian Universalist congregations in Columbia, Missouri.
One latrine costs about $250, lasts 10-14 years, and benefits 10 people.
How's that for cost-efficiency: improving health and saving lives for $2.50 per person per year?
