Little One’s Day Out is a Part-Time Christian Preschool serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. Our classes are based on a child’s age before August 1st of the current school year.
Classes operate from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
With LODO+, up to 18 children, ages 2-5, may add extended hours and attend 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (maximum of six 2 year olds). ​​
Little One’s Day Out operates on a school year basis. Little One’s Day Out closely follows the Columbia Public School calendar for days closed (i.e. Holidays, Teacher Workdays, and School Breaks.)
We adhere to Missouri state licensing rules and regulations.​
Our program utilizes Conscious Discipline, a framework of teaching children about their emotions and how to self-regulate by using positive self-talk. The goals that drive our program are: maintaining routine of activities, providing supervised peer interaction, cultivating strong positive relationships, and providing a safe environment for conductive learning.
Our main areas of learning focus are: social emotional skills, language skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, cognitive skills, early literacy skills, early math skills, early science skills. Age appropriate lesson plans are created per classroom corresponding with a school-wide weekly theme.
